Italy rewards the slow week. Our houses sit where the country still keeps its own rhythm — a shuttered villa on Como where the lake turns silver before breakfast, a lemon terrace above the Amalfi shore, a masseria in Puglia with olive trees older than the walls. We keep a short list on purpose: places we have stayed in, with a housekeeper who knows the fishmonger and a cook who makes the pasta by hand. Beyond the familiar three, 2026 belongs to Italy's quieter corners — Piedmont's nonna-run bars and hazelnut hills, the Ionian shore below Syracuse, Calabria's empty beaches — and we will arrange those weeks by request.
Where to go in Italy
Lemon terraces, tiled floors and steps that fall straight to the sea. Best taken slowly: a boat to Li Galli, a long lunch above Positano, and the coast road left to everyone else.
Whitewashed masserie among olive groves, dry stone walls and long tables outdoors. Burrata from the dairy that morning, the Adriatic twenty minutes away, and space for a whole family.
Coves of impossible blue reached by boat or a walk through juniper and oleander. Long, unhurried days between the water and the shade, with granite headlands, sea urchin pasta and villages that keep their own rhythm.
